Jack Frost Ready to Nip at Your Taste Buds

It's that time of year again. With the warm weather and chirping birds, comes the hum of the ice cream machine at Jack Frost Ice Cream Chalet. With the annual opening set for April 1, owner Dale Wright said to expect the shop to be ready for business this Sunday.

"We always assume we're going to open April 1," he said. "That's when it's starting to get warm usually, except for this year with the weather how it's been lately."

No joke—the opening will take place on April Fool's Day, with hours set at 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 1 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The hours will changes once summer officially hits, Wright said. 

"Once the kids are out of school we go from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week," he said.
