Jewel-Osco, Pete's Market, CVS: Thanksgiving 2025 Grocery Store Hours In, Near Oak Forest

OAK FOREST, IL — In the rush to make a complete holiday meal for the entire family, it’s inevitable we’ll forget something (maybe multiple things) on our grocery lists. Luckily, some grocery stores in Oak Forest will be open Thanksgiving Day to pick up the forgotten rolls, the missing can of cranberry sauce—or that one darn thing you've somehow managed to forget on previous trips to the store.

Some grocery stores and pharmacies in or near Oak Forest will be open on Thanksgiving, including Jewel-Osco. Some major retailers have continued the trend of closing for the holiday, including Aldi, Costco, Target and Walmart, which will all be closed on Nov. 27 for Thanksgiving.

As always, if you need another pound of butter or an onion to finish cooking your Thanksgiving meal, it’s a good idea to call ahead to make sure they’re open.
