Man Gunned Down Blocks From Bremen High School Identified

A man gunned down in the street just blocks from Bremen Community High School has been identified.

Larry D. Conners, 27, was killed on 153rd Street near Lawndale Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Police received a call about a person getting shot shortly after 3 p.m. Officers found Conners, a Chicago resident, dead on the sidewalk. Conners had suffered several bullet wounds, said Midlothian Police Chief Harold Kaufman.

No one was in custody for the killing Wednesday afternoon, Kaufman said. Midlothian police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force were handling the investigation.

“We’re just following leads and putting the case together at this point,” Kaufman said.
