National Night Out Returns To Oak Forest

The event designed to build police-community partnerships is back on in Oak Forest, to be held Tuesday, August 6.

OAK FOREST, IL — A beloved community event is back on in Oak Forest, now at a new location.

On Tuesday, August 6, the Oak Forest Police Department will once again host National Night Out at 15800 S. Long Avenue—behind Culvers on 159th Street—from 6 to 8 p.m.

The festivities will include a DJ, free child ID kits, inflatables, snow cones, face painting, emergency vehicles, and more.

National Night Out, held annually on the first Tuesday in August, is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
