No Immediate Threat At Bremen High School After Social Media Post: PD
Midlothian Police worked with District 228 officials to investigate a social media threat made against the school late Thursday night.
OAK FOREST, IL — Classes at Bremen High School ran as scheduled on Friday after Midlothian Police deemed a social media threat made against the school late Thursday night not to be credible.
Police did not specify the nature of the threat, which they were made aware of in the late hours of Thursday night. Police said that they worked with Bremen school officials throughout the night to investigate the social media posting and determined that there is “no immediate threat at this time,” police said on Friday.
A Bremen High School District 228 spokeswoman said that the police responded to the threat immediately and worked together with the district to get answers in regard to a possible threat.

In a message to district parents on Friday morning, Bremen High School Principal Jessica Rucinski said that the safety and security of students and staff at the school remain the district’s top priority.
“It is reassuring to know that our students, parents, and staff members are quick to report things of this nature,” Rucinski said in the statement. “Thank you to those that reached out with concerns. Please continue to encourage your students to See Something, Hear Something, Say Something.”
