Oak Forest Man, 23, Found Dead In Lockport Canal: Coroner
Illinois State Police are investigating after a man's body was found in the canal near the Lockport Dam Monday afternoon.
LOCKPORT, IL — A body found in a canal near a Lockport Dam Monday has been identified as that of an Oak Forest man, the Will County Coroner's Office said Tuesday.
Illinois State Police were called Monday after 1 p.m. to the 2500 block of Channel Road for reports of a body pulled from the water, Patch reported previously.
On Tuesday, the man was identified as Joseph M. Mora, 23, the Will County Coroner's Office said. Mora's body was found in the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday, Aug. 13. Final cause and manner of death will be determined following autopsy, police and toxicological reports.
