OAK FOREST, IL — The 10th Annual Oak Forest Fleadh is just around the corner, so be sure to mark your calendars for some Irish-inspired merriment.

It falls on what the National Weather Service Chicago says could be ablustery weekend, with wind and snow early Saturday. But bundle up and enjoy the 5K walk/run and the vendors and open houses who will all be celebrating, too.

Packet Pick-Up

CNB Bank & Trust, 5459 W. 159th Street, Thurs., Feb., 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can register for the race at the bank until 5 p.m. on Friday.

New Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-Up Location

All event day activities will be held at the Oak Forest Community Center at 15501 Kilpatrick from 7 to 8 a.m.

New Parking Areas for Race Day

Parking will be available in several areas within walking distance to the community center. The Waverly Metra parking lot at 157th and Waverly, the commercial building at 156th and Cicero (the former Ace Hardware) will offer parking. Parking is available on neighboring streets. The registration fee on race day is $35.

The fleadh will be held on Cicero Avenue between 151st Street and 159th Street. It is sponsored by the Oak Forest-Crestwood Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Oak Forest.
