One Man Charged, One Suspect At Large After Shooting At OF Bar

Delaneo Jackson, 37, was charged with a felony after a reported shooting at the Rocking Horse Sunday. The shooting suspect is at large.

OAK FOREST, IL — One man was arrested and another suspect is at large in connection with a shooting outside of The Rocking Horse Saloon Sunday morning.

A Chicago man, Delaneo Jackson, 37, has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. He was not the shooter. Police are still looking for the shooting suspect, said Oak Forest Police Chief Tim Kristin.

Kristin said that police responded to calls of shots fired at 12:40 a.m. on Feb. 10 outside of the bar. Jackson had been involved in a fight with a group of people inside The Rocking Horse, and that group was moved outside, he said. After that, someone reported shots fired from a van in a parking lot. Police believe the shooter fled the scene. Jackson, however, was carrying a gun.
