Opening Date Set For Oak Forest's New ALDI Store
The ALDI name returns to Oak Forest following its 2020 exit.

OAK FOREST, IL — Oak Forest's new ALDI store is just about ready for customers, with opening date set for Thursday, Dec. 7.
The store, located at 4250 W. 167th St., the City said. It will mark the brand's return to Oak Forest after its exit in 2020, when it relocated its Oak Forest store to a location in Crestwood. ALDI had previously operated in Oak Forest for 20 years.
"The City of Oak Forest is thrilled to announce the ground-up development of an ALDI Food Market at 4250 W. 167th Street," officials said in March.

Officials said the city recently sold property at the northwest side of 167th Street and Kilbourne Avenue to make way for the "new-generation, 20,000-square-foot grocery store."
Ahead of the Oak Forest store's opening, an ALDI location in nearby Hazel Crest announced last month that it will shutter on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.
