• Oak Forest Residents To Again Pay More In City Portion Of Property Taxes (patch.com) — Oak Forest homeowners should expect to pay about $71 more next year on the city portion of their property tax bill after the City Council approved a 4.9% levy increase for 2025. Officials say rising operating costs, capital projects, and staffing needs drove the hike, while $250,000 from reserves was used to keep the increase below the 5% threshold that would trigger a public hearing.
