OAK FOREST, IL — The Rocking Horse Saloon Bar and Grill is sponsoring a free "Stop the Violence" brunch and discussion Feb. 23 in the wake of shootings that happened on its grounds earlier in the week.
The discussion is centered on gun violence, according to a post from the bar's Facebook page.

Early Sunday morning, police responded to calls of shots fired at 12:40 a.m. outside of the Rocking Horse. A Chicago man, Delaneo Jackson, 37, had been involved in a fight with a group of people inside the bar, and that group was moved outside. After that, someone reported shots fired from a van in a parking lot. Police believe the shooter fled the scene. Jackson was not the shooter, but he was carrying a gun. Details are not yet clear because the investigation is ongoing and fluid, police said. Jackson has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
In addition to the free brunch and discussion, the bar posted another offer from a patron. It offers to buy women who lost someone to gun violence dinner at the Rocking Horse.
