SHARE: Pranks for the Memories—Your April Fool's Stories
Patch puts a call out to our readers to share their best April Fool's Day jokes and pranks, both those they pulled and those that have been pulled on them.

The joke is on you—or at least it could be today. Be careful for Whoopee cushions, watch out for the bucket of water propped up on an open door and any other of manner of playful prank from family and friends, as they try to make you their April fool.
Patch reached out to our readers on our Facebook page for some of the best pranks they've pulled or have had pulled on them. While some of the classics were left off the list, there were others that turned out to be real gut-busters, at least for the ones playing the pranks.
- Mike Fangman said, “Twelve years ago, my friend and I were going on a weekend trip to Vegas. On April Fool's Day, I called him and said I'd just been notified that our hotel had had a fire (everyone got out safely) and would be closed for several months. He'd really been looking forward to our trip and started swearing a blue streak until I reminded him what day it was.”
- Roxana Agler said, “Once when I was working downtown, I used a piece of clear tape to hold down the receiver on the phone so that if you picked up or tried to use the phone it did not work. Another time, I glued a quarter on the floor in the lunch/break room and kept watching people try to pick it up. Sometimes you will do anything to entertain yourself in those stuffy offices!”
- Danielle Abendroth said, “My father used to get me all the time: shaving cream in my softball glove, saran wrap on the toilet, mustard on the phone receiver to name a few.”
So, be on the look-out today for any and all pranks and have a fun-filled April Fools' Day.
