THURSDAY, MARCH 14

'I Already Gave My Birthday to You. It's Guillermo'

Guillermo Vega, 28, of the 1900 block of South High Street in Blue Island, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, according to a report. Police stopped Vega at about 7:10 p.m. near 14800 South Kedzie Avenue after he was seen weaving in traffic. During the stop, police noticed a smell of alcohol and two, empty 750-ml glass bottles of MD 20/20 Orange Jubilee inside the car.

An officer asked for Vega’s birthday, to which he replied, “I already gave my birthday to you. It’s Guillermo.” The officer asked again “So, your date of birth is Guillermo?” and the driver replied “Yes.”

When Vega left the car to perform field sobriety tests, officers noticed that he had exposed himself, the report stated. Officers also took a pit bull that was in the back seat of the car into custody.

Vega was arrested and taken to the Midlothian Police Department, where he refused to take a breath test.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13

Stabbed During Argument

Rene Villalpando-Carmona, 27, of Midlothian, was charged with aggravated battery, according to a report. He was charged after an investigation by the Midlothian police and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Villalpando-Carmona is accused of stabbing someone while the two had been arguing during a day of drinking.

TUESDAY, MARCH 12

Kankakee Man Arrested for Outstanding Warrants

Eric D. Foster, 27, of the 1900 block of East Marmino in Kankakee, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Cook County Sheriff’s Office on charges of dangerous drugs and criminal trespass, according to a report. He also was charged with obstructing identification. Foster was stopped by police at about 2:34 p.m. on South Kedzie Avenue.

During the stop, he gave the police a fake name, the report stated. Fingerprinting by police showed his actual identity, and a check of his background turned up the warrants.
