Teen Charged In 3 Midlothian Business Burglaries
An 18-year-old who police say is one of three involved in a crime spree in the south suburbs was arrested in Midlothian.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with a string of crimes in the south suburbs. Police in Midlothian charged Carlton Mccune with three counts of burglary after finding him on June 24 near 146th and Sawyer. Mccune is one of three people involved in June 16 burglaries at Madori's Liquors, Subway, BP Amoco gas station and Pollo Asado in Midlothian, Midlothian Police Chief Daniel Delaney said.
Midlothian police responded to a call of the burglary at Madori's that night, and said a witness followed the suspects after they broke into the BP at 147th and Pulaski Road. A passenger in the car the suspects were in, a Toyota Camry later found to be reported stolen, got out of the car on 147th Street and began shooting at the witness, Delaney said.
An investigation led detectives to find that the same suspects used the same stolen car in burglaries in other towns as well.

Mccune was caught, according to police, while "getting tints on a stolen vehicle taken in a vehicular hijacking" in Calumet City and was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.
Delaney said other law enforcement agencies are also seeking charges against Mccune.
