The person said Jack didn't get along well with other animals but volunteers said he's shown no signs of aggression while staying at his hopefully temporary home. He scurries up to newcomers, hungry for a pet, and his golden eyes glisten in the sun.

The American Kennel Club doesn't list the Alaskan Husky as a breed because "the sled dog is not really a breed" but rather, a mix of several types of working dogs, according to its website.
"The only thing that really matters in determining an Alaskan Husky is the willingness to work and drive to pull," the website says.
