Valentine's Day Balloon Drop Event For Senior Living Facility
Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller and The Balloon Queens LLC are delivering donated balloons to seniors on Valentine's Day.
OAK FOREST, IL β This Valentine's Day, Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller (D-6th) and The Balloon Queens LLC β a Chicagoland, minority owned, balloon decor headquarters, located in South Holland β are planning to share some love by holding a Valentine's Day balloon drop event for seniors, according to a news release.
The event will take place at the Elevate Senior Living facility located at, 16300 Louis Ave. in South Holland, beginning at 9 a.m. It falls under the #adoptagrandparent campaign, an initiative "aimed to spread smiles and extra love" to seniors, according to the release. The balloon company is aiming to deliver 82 donated balloons to residents living in the facility. Balloons are 15 dollars each and those who wish to "adopt" a resident can call 708-681-9995 for more information.
"The pandemic has caused us to miss out on so many opportunities to visit with our seniors who are in care facilities," said Commissioner Miller. "Itβs always heartwarming to see people rally together and donate to a fun cause for great people, we are incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed so we could provide every single resident living at Elevate Senior Living with a balloon buddy this Valentineβs Day!"
