Woman, 51, Sexually Assaulted At Forest Preserve: Police

The sexual assault happened Monday around 6 p.m., on a service road off Cicero Avenue on the edge of Midlothian Meadows Preserve.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — Authorities are investigating after a 51-year-old woman was sexually assaulted Monday evening at a forest preserve, forest preserve officials said Tuesday.

The woman was at a bus stop at the corner of 159th Street and Cicero Avenue in Oak Forest around 6 p.m., when she was approached by a man in an SUV who offered to give her a ride, which she accepted, according to a release. The driver then pulled into a service road off Cicero Avenue on the edge of Midlothian Meadows, where the victim said he sexually assaulted her in the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 5-foot-7 inches tall, and approximately 170 pounds. He is age 45 to 55, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, with a goatee and a thin, large nose, driving a white, newer GMC SUV.
