Burlington Grand Opening Set For This Weekend At Chicago Ridge Mall

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — Put on your running shoes and head over to the grand opening of Burlington Stores at Chicago Ridge Mall this weekend, May 31, June 1 and June 2. The grand opening features a ribbon-cutting ceremony, bonus cards, free prizes and more.

The new Burlington is located in the former Bed, Bath & Beyond space and will offer footwear, home decor, women’s apparel and accessories, menswear, children’s clothing and pet toys.

Second Horizon Capital purchased the property from Starwood Capital Group in February when the company missed a $76 million debt payment on the property, according to Crain’s. The Florida-based investment firm purports to “transform large-scale, underinvested commercial properties into vibrant destinations and local economic engines.” Burlington is the first anchor tenant to move into Chicago Ridge Mall following acquisition of the property.

Other anchor tenants in the mall include Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods and AMC Theatres.

The new location will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m. Friday, May 31. Burlington will also celebrate the grand opening and highlight its commitment to education with a $5,000 donation to a nearby school through their partnership with the national nonprofit organization AdoptAClassroom.org. Funds will be used to provide students in a local high-need school with classroom materials. The presentation of the donation to the local school will take place at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Saturday, June 1, the first 100 people in line will receive $10 bonus cards. The next day, Sunday, June 2, shoppers will receive Burlington umbrellas while supplies last. Burlington Stores has over 1,000 stores nationwide.

Store hours will be 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
