Donation Dropoff Site Set Up For Justice Apartment Fire Victims
The Justice Park District is accepting donations and gift cards for the displaced families of an apartment building destroyed by a fire.

JUSTICE, IL — The Justice Park District has set up a collection site for the men, women and children affected by this weekend’s devastating apartment building fire on 87th Avenue.
On Saturday, a fire tore through an apartment building in the 8500 block of South 88th Terrace, displacing dozens of families and destroying 16 units. The blaze took several hours to extinguish. Nobody was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation. It is the third apartment building since December to be destroyed by fire in the local area.
The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents in finding temporary housing. The park district suggests the following donations, including: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes/toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, clothing (all sizes), shoes, school supplies and baby supplies, to name a few.
