Angelica Delivers The Digs For Oak Lawn Spartan Girls Volleyball
Ziaja collected more than 150 digs for Oak Lawn Community High School, even while playing different positions.
OAK LAWN, IL — Sometimes players are asked to do things outside their comfort zone for the good of the team. For junior Angelica Ziaja, this was the case on the volleyball court for Oak Lawn Community High School. However, no matter the position, Ziaja delivered the digs.
Even while playing different positions, she collected more than 150 digs this year and did whatever coach Kathleen Miller asked her to do.
“Angelica developed significantly throughout the season and was willing and able to play any position on any given day,” Miller said. “Angelica’s skills have greatly improved throughout the season, and she has proven to be a gritty, tough defender. She contributed to every set played this season.
