Mardi Gras-Themed 'Evening At The Gallery' Planned At Acorn To Oak

Explore the offerings of Acorn To Oak Studios this Friday, Feb. 28, Oak Lawn's non-profit art galley featuring art, music bites and drinks.

OAK LAWN, IL — Enjoy an affordable night out filled with art, music and community at Acorn to Oak Studios’ Mardi Gras-themed art fundraiser. “An Evening in the Gallery” runs for 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 in the north wing of Pilgrim Faith campus at 9411 S. 51st Ave., Oak Lawn.

For one night only, Acorn to Oak is turning its studio into a gallery filled with original art from area artists, much of created on site. Nosh on bites from Chuck’s Southern Comfort Cage, Clancy’s and others including fresh beignets, while sipping on adult beverages. There will be lively music, raffles, gift baskets, silent auctions and more. Master artist and Oak Lawn resident Clayton J. Beck III will be doing a live painting demonstration.

Commune and connect with fellow art lovers and experience the joy of self-expression, and maybe make your own Mardi Gras mask. Patrons will also have the chance

The studio offers art and music programs for adults, teens and children, including children and teen art workshops, ongoing classes and open studio time to artists of all levels and abilities. Proceeds will help support local artists and creative programs in the studios.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance online, or $30 at the door. Acorn to Oak Studios is located at 9411 S. 51st Avenue in the north wing of the Pilgrim Faith campus. Whether you’re shopping for art, mingling, or just soaking in the atmosphere, it will be a night to remember, so let the good times roll.
