Oak Lawn Schools Announce Closures, E-Learning On Tuesday: UPDATED 1X
Oak Lawn schools are closing buildings and planning e-Learning Tuesday, Jan. 21, due to dangerously cold temperatures.
OAK LAWN — School districts are starting to announce closings due to a cold weather advisory that has plunged the Chicago region into the first deep freeze of 2025.
Meteorologists predict wind chills of 20 to 25 below will persist through Wednesday, with the coldest conditions late Monday into Tuesday.
The following schools in Oak Lawn have announced closures and/or declared Tuesday, Jan. 21, an e-learning day, including:

- CHSD 218 (Richards, Shepard, Eisenhower) - closed, e-learning; All after-school home athletic events and activities have been canceled for Tuesday.
- ADDED! Oak Lawn Community High School - closed, e-learning starts at 8 a.m.; After-school activities will run as scheduled. Coaches and/or sponsors will keep students and their families updated on any changes to any extracurricular activities.
