Oak Lawn Senior Cohen Laylo Sets School Diving Record At Argo Invite

OAK LAWN, IL — Senior Cohen Laylo qualified for the Illinois High School Association State Finals in diving last year, but he aims for even more success this year at Oak Lawn Community High School. The sky is certainly the limit for this Spartan.

He won the Argo Dive Invitational last week and set a new 11-dive school record with a score of 488.20.

“Cohen has been working hard to improve his diving skills, and his hard work has paid off,” said OLCHS head coach Derek Maciaga.

Laylo and the Spartans have two important competitions to be used as a measuring stick for the rest of the season. They will compete in the Spartan Invitational and the Hinsdale Central Dive Invite.
