OLCHS Girls Wrestler Allison Nava Pins Down Athlete of The Month

OAK LAWN, IL — Junior Allison Nava didn’t leave any leftovers when she battled at the Thanksgiving Throwdown Tournament at Minooka High School. The Oak Lawn Community High School girls wrestler dominated the varsity 115-pound weight class by pinning all her opponents on the way to securing first place in a highly-competitive event featuring 31 teams.

As a result, Nava was recognized as a Spartan Athlete of the Month.

“Her success is a direct result of the hard work she put in during the off season, where she focused on improving her strength and technique,” OLCHS head coach Matt Arthur said. “In addition to wrestling, Allison is a multi-sport athlete, excelling in each of her sports, showcasing her versatility and commitment to excellence."
