Undefeated Oak Lawn Spartans Look To Extend Winning Streak Against Argo Argonauts
The undefeated Oak Lawn Spartans are on fire as they look to continue their winning ways Friday, Sept. 26, against Argo High School.
OAK LAWN, IL — Not only does Oak Lawn Community High School produce great actors, but have you seen the football team lately?
The Spartans’ dream season continues as they head UNDEFEATED to Summit this Friday, Sept. 26, to take on the 0-4 Argo Argonauts. The game starts at 7 p.m. at Argo Community High School, 7329 W. 63rd St., Summit. The OLCHS-Argo game can also be streamed live on Hudl. (You’ll have to create a new account or log in if you are currently a subscriber.)
After winning just two games in the past four years, Ryan Pattison’s Spartans have gone 4-0 as the high school football season heads into week 5, and Oak Lawn residents are enjoying the ride.

The Spartans' winning streak continued last week against the Bremem Braves. The Spartans went down early 7-0, but sophomore slotback Karmari Polk tied it up 7-7 with a rushing nine yards for a touchdown. Bremen came back and scored, making it 14-7, but the Spartans scored two unanswered to go into halftime up 21-14.

Oak Lawn came back late in the fourth quarter. Junior Jayden Schlosser came back with two rushing touchdowns late in the fourth quarter (53 yards and 35 yards). Senior Alex Soto rushed the ball five yards and 4 yards for two TDs.
The final score was Oak Lawn, 34, Bremen, 21. The Bremen Braves were sent home with a 0-4 record, but we’ve been there too.
Friday’s contest against Argo (0-4) is only the second conference game Oak Lawn has played this season. Crosstown rival, Richards High School, leads Oak Lawn in the South Suburban Conference (Red) 2-0, with an overall 3-1 record.
Oak Lawn finishes out the season playing within the conference, including Evergreen Park (Oct. 3), Richards (Oct. 10), Eisenhower (Oct. 17), and Reavis (Oct. 24).
