Senior Jack Dempsey Name Oak Lawn Spartan 'November Male Athlete Of The Month'

OAK LAWN, IL — Senior Jack Dempsey wasted no time getting his senior season of basketball at Oak Lawn Community High School started. He was nearly unstoppable in the first month of action.

He led the Spartans to a championship in the inaugural Len Scaduto Classic as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Dempsey averaged 22.5 points per game and hit 17 of his 35 three-point field goal attempts.

As a result, Dempsey was named as Oak Lawn’s Spartan Athlete of the Month for November.

“Jack got off to a blistering start to his senior season, shooting the ball with great confidence, playing team defense, sharing the basketball, displaying some emerging vocal leadership skills. He is a pleasure to coach and always competes,” OLCHS head coach Jason Rhodes said.
