Accused Kidnapper Charged with Home Invasion
Sherman Henderson turned himself in to Oak Park police Monday evening.

The Chicago man who reportedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend Sunday night in Oak Park has been charged with home invasion.
Sherman Henderson, 31, was scheduled for a bond hearing at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Cook County Circuit Court, according to the Village of Oak Park.
Henderson turned himself in Monday evening at the Oak Park police station.

The incident took place Sunday night in the 600 block of Forest Avenue, where Henderson’s ex-girlfriend was house sitting. A witness reported seeing a man force a woman into a car, and police found the back door of the home had been forced open, the village reported.
The woman was safely recovering from minor injuries Monday at a hospital.
