Beyond Age: Oak Park Seniors Take The Runway For Fall Fashion Show
Seniors from the Oak Park Arms strutted their stuff on the runway at a Fall Fashion Show. Fashions were from the Brown Elephant Resale Shop.
Fashions were on parade at the Oak Park Arms’ fall fashion show on Friday, October 18, in the ballroom of Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Avenue. Models were Oak Park Arms’ residents and staff members.
Fashions were from the Brown Elephant Resale Shop located at 217 Harrison Street, Oak Park. Brown Elephant Resale Shops feature fashionable finds, vintage clothing, and home décor. All proceeds of the Brown Elephant Resale Shop fund care for the uninsured and under-insured at Howard Brown Health.
“This event was a huge success, and we’re so grateful to everyone who came out to support us,” said Camille Gallo, the Oak Park Arms intern who originated and planned the show. “We focus on decreasing ageism which I believe this show accomplished.”
