1. Oak Park Police Chief LaDon Reynolds was nominated by the Biden administration to serve as a U.S. Marshal in the Northern District of Illinois. The longtime local officer was recommended for the role by Senators Tammy Duckworth and Majority Whip Dick Durbin. (AP)
2. Five catalytic converters have been stolen this month from parked cars on local streets, according to the latest police crime report. License plates were also reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Enterprise Rental. (OPPD)
3. Fenwick's varsity football team will play Sycamore in the Class 5A semifinals at Triton College Nov. 20. They won 28-17 against Nazareth Friday. (Wednesday Journal)
4. La Maison de Bonbon on Madison Street celebrated 100 years of business this weekend. “Granddaughters come in today because their grandmothers bought our chocolates for them when they were little girls,” manager Esthela Gonzalez said. (Forest Park Review)
