1. Two residential burglaries were reported in Oak Park over the last two weeks, according to police. Offenders entered through the back door of a home in the 6600 block of North Avenue on April 27, taking laptops, shoes and perfume. A week later, burglars gained access to a home in the 800 block of South Cuyler Avenue through an unlocked window and stole more than $2,000 worth of jewelry and personal items. 2. Oak Park and River Forest High School will host an open house today for residents interested in touring the school’s latest renovations. Guests can see the new cafeteria, student commons and welcome center beginning at 5:30 p.m. (OPRFHS)
