- Eduardo L. Linares, 26, of Chicago was stopped at 3:42 a.m. Jan. 15 for committing several traffic violations in the area of North Avenue and Harlem. Police suspected he was driving drunk and took him back to the station to conduct sobriety tests (extreme weather prevented onsite testing). Officers also found open liquor and several spent .45-caliber shell casings in the car, as well as a .45-caliber Springfield XDM gun in the glovebox. He was subsequently cited for the DUI, driving with a suspended license and not having a concealed carry permit.

- Matthew H. Dudek, 20, of Forest Park was in an accident just before midnight Jan. 21 in the 200 block of Lathrop. He had hit two parked cars while driving, and when police arrived on the scene, they determined he was drunk. He failed sobriety tests and refused to submit to a breathalyzer test at the station before being charged.
