1. A child was hit by a car Monday near Longfellow Elementary School. The student was struck by a vehicle while crossing Jackson Boulevard with his family. Police do not believe his injuries are life threatening. (Wednesday Journal)

2. River Forest police issued a community alert Tuesday after three residential burglaries occurred in the village. Additional police patrols have been assigned in the area because of the break-ins. (VRF)
3. Residents of a 48-unit Oak Park apartment complex are being required to evacuate today after an inspection found sloping floors and structural issues. Dozens of people who live in in Oak View Tower on North Boulevard say they are being forced to relocate with little notice and no help from the management company. (ABC7)
4. President Joseph Biden’s infrastructure bill passed by Congress last week will give Illinois $17 billion to improve highways and bridges.
