Concordia-Chicago Appoints Thomas Jandris as Chief Innovation Officer
Jandris has also been appointed the dean of the newly formed College of Innovation and Professional Programs.

RIVER FOREST, IL – Dr. Thomas Jandris has been appointed Chief Innovation Officer and dean of the newly formed College of Innovation and Professional Programs at Concordia University Chicago.
Jandris is responsible for the management of all international activities, joint ventures, instructional design and technology, the baccalaureate Adult Degree Program, and government relations. In this new role, he is charged with fostering an environment of innovation throughout the University through institution-wide collaboration to bring innovative ideas to fruition.

“As Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. Jandris will place the University in a position to best serve current and future generations of students who come to us from a wide variety of backgrounds,” said CUC President Dr. Daniel Gard. “Concordia-Chicago is moving forward on many fronts as it recognizes the significant importance of innovation and academic and organizational nimbleness in higher education today.”
Jandris led the University’s former College of Graduate and Innovative Programs for 10 years, during which graduate programs saw historic enrollment growth. Jandris also oversaw the addition of the University’s first doctoral programs.

As a licensed psychologist, Jandris also continues to teach at the graduate level. Prior to his tenure at CUC, he founded Progress Education Corporation and served as president of EDmin, Inc. He has also served as director of state services for the Education Commission of the States, where he was chief architect and leader of the Urban Coalition and Corporate Partners Programs and directed a three-year national study of the governance of America’s schools.
