Before being set in stone, the new doctoral degree had to be approved by the Higher Learning Commission, which accredits higher education institutions across 19 Midwest and South-Central states.
In addition to its new degree, the College of Business offers a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and MBA in Business Administration. All programs, including the new DBA, have a global focus.

Doctoral students will be able to choose either ‘Leadership’ or ‘Healthcare Administration’ as a specialization in their field, and will each be assigned an individual faculty member who will act as a coach, mentor and friend throughout their educational process.
Students will also attend three residencies as a part of their doctoral studies.
“Offering the doctoral program in business administration improves the abilities of our students to handle more complex assignments and attain increased recognition associated with their increased professional capacities,” Santin said. “This, in turn, will lead to improved recruitment and greater satisfaction among our faculty and students.”
