Dead Man Found in Oak Park Library Overdosed on Heroin

Cook County Medical Examiner's Office​ has released a final report on the April death of Todd E. Leslie.

Oak Park, IL — Todd E. Leslie, who was found dead April 11 inside a locked bathroom in the Oak Park Public Library, died of a heroin overdose.

The final report from the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office also says Leslie's body may have been in the bathroom for days, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Officials had previously believed the body sat on a toilet in the bathroom for just one night before it was found at 10:30 a.m. April 11. A syringe and a lighter were found inside his pockets.
