1. A student was injured Monday when a Dominican University shuttle bus crashed into a car at the intersection of Bonnie Brae and Chicago, the University shared via social media. The shuttle bus driver then drove onto a lawn and struck a nearby home. Both drivers were transported to area hospitals; the sole student passenger was evaluated by paramedics. (DU)

2. More than 90 percent of Oak Park residents have now been vaccinated against COVID-19. The health department reported 66 new cases of the virus last week, a 35 percent decrease from the beginning of September. A vaccine clinic will be held today at Cheney Mansion. (VOP)
3. The River Forest Village Board will consider several traffic safety recommendations in October. Proposals include adding temporary barriers on Bonnie Brae and installing stop signs at its intersection with Greenfield Street. (VRF)
4. Oak Park and River Forest High School eliminated college prep courses for freshmen this year. School spokesperson Karin Sullivan told Wednesday Journal “it’s really too early” to determine whether the move has been beneficial. (Wednesday Journal)
