Driver Injured in Eisenhower Crash Early Wednesday

The rollover crash caused delays on the Interstate 290 morning commute.

One person was seriously injured in a single-car rollover crash early Wednesday morning on the Eisenhower Expressway near Western Avenue.

The driver was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition after the car rolled over around 3:40 a.m. on the Interstate 290 westbound lanes, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

No other injuries were reported.

The westbound right lane and the Western Avenue ramp were closed after the crash, slowing the morning commute, the Sun-Times reports, but they were reopened by 7 a.m. Westbound lanes were backed up about a mile around 6:30 a.m., according to ABC7.
