First Presbyterian Church Of River Forest Hosts Missions Fair Feb. 26
The free event will feature a group of mission agencies the church "has first-hand experience working with."

The First Presbyterian Church of River Forest invites the community to a Missions Fair on Sunday, February 26, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the church, located at 7551 Quick Avenue in River Forest. Admission is free.

“It is sometimes difficult to know how to help when we see the hurt and helplessness around the world and in our own neighborhoods. We are thankful for all the organizations who focus on selflessly helping those in need, reflecting the love of Jesus,” said Paul Detterman, senior pastor at First Pres. “On February 26, a group of mission agencies our church has first-hand experience working with will gather for a Missions Fair. Anyone in the community interested in learning more about these organizations is welcome to attend.

- Antioch Partners: cross-cultural church-planting around the world
- By the Hand Club: Chicago area after-school programs •
- Chicago Hope Academy: Christian High School on Chicago’s near west side
- Circle Urban Ministries: addressing poverty, housing, hunger, education, drug & alcohol dependency, medical, and legal issues in the Austin neighborhood
- Cru: an interdenominational Christian organization for college and university students
- Exodus World Service: supporting refugees into the Chicago area
- Frontier Fellowship: sharing the Gospel worldwide, often in their own language
- Harmony Community Cares: providing healthy food, and academic, social and spiritual support, to North Lawndale and surrounding communities
- MOPS: Support and community for Oak Park and River Forest mothers of preschoolers
- Opportunity International: innovative financial solutions for families living in extreme poverty around the world
- PARS Theological Centre: discipleship and leader development in Iran and the Persian world
- Underground Feeders: providing meals and essential items to the homeless on Lower Wacker
- Young Life OPRF: supporting youth in the Oak Park and River Forest communities
