1. A group of Oak Park gas station owners is suing the village over its ordinance preventing 24-hour operations at gas stations. The village is currently barred from enforcing the ordinance, which passed unanimously in an attempt to curb overnight crime. (Wednesday Journal)

2. The owner of West Suburban Hospital has filed for bankruptcy. California-based Pipeline Health System said it would continue paying employee salaries during the bankruptcy process. More than 860 people work at West Suburban. (Paid source: Tribune)
