More children are contracting COVID-19 as the delta variant surges in Illinois, Dr. Abigail Hodges of Oak Park Pediatrics reports. “We’re seeing a lot more positives at my office, but they’re not more sick than they were before,” Hodges told NBC5. More than 50 children under the age of 12 were hospitalized in Illinois due to COVID-19 in July. (NBC)

2. The Department of Public Health will be distributing COVID-19 vaccines at Thursday Night Out in downtown Oak Park tonight, using its new mobile response van. (VOP)
