1. Since last Wednesday, 37 people in Oak Park have tested positive for COVID-19. “These new cases range in ages from less than four to individuals in their 60s,” the health department shared via social media. (VOP)

2. Oak Park River Forest High School is taking steps to help students develop “social-emotional learning” skills. School social workers are offering screenings to determine which students need the most help coping with depression, anxiety, trauma and more. (OPRFHS)

3. Oak Park attorney Stephanie Harris made an online “safe space” for domestic violence survivors in the wake of the Gabby Petito case. The private Facebook group "Justice for Gabby" is up to about 230 people who share stories and seek legal guidance. (Paid source: Oak Leaves)

4. Founded by Oak Park resident Shana Wills, nonprofit Refugee Education and Adventure Challenge (REACH) is celebrating five years helping young refugees and asylum seekers. 5. A new initiative at the Academy of Movement and Music in Oak Park hopes to make dance classes more affordable for people in under-served communities.
