Intergenerational Easter Egg Hunt At Oak Park Arms Senior Living
Seniors joined kids from Kindness Creators preschool for an Easter egg hunt inside the Oak Park Arms Senior Living Community
Seniors from the Oak Park Arms joined kids from Kindness Creators preschool for an Easter egg hunt around the Oak Park Arms Senior Living Community on Thursday, March 21. In addition, the Easter Bunny was on hand for photos with kids and seniors.
“Our residents had a blast searching for eggs with their preschool friends,” said Renee Steingard, director of leasing and resident engagement at the Oak Park Arms. “This egg hunt has become a heart-warming tradition with our young neighbors in the building. The intergenerational interaction between seniors and preschoolers is truly special.”
Although it is unclear where exactly the egg hunt tradition stems from, eggs and bunnies are symbolic of spring and rebirth. Birds tend to lay their eggs in the spring, and rabbits are very fertile animals whose babies are known to scurry about this time of year.
