Island Nights, Ballroom Lights For Seniors At Oak Park Arms
Seniors from the Oak Park community joined residents of the Oak Park Arms at Island Nights, Ballroom Lights, a Hawaiian-themed dance.
Seniors from the Oak Park community enjoyed a Hawaiian-themed ballroom dance titled, “Island Nights, Ballroom Lights” on Friday, August 23, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Avenue, Oak Park.
Live music was provided by Swing Set an 18-piece orchestra that plays music from 1940s through the 1960s and selections from The Beatles, Steely Dan, and other more contemporary groups.
“You could almost smell the ocean air at our fun Hawaiian-themed dance,” said Renee Steingard, director leasing and resident engagement at the Oak Park Arms. “All the seniors and staff were decked out in Hawaiian clothing and leis. We had so much fun as did many members of the Oak Park community who joined our residents at the dance.”
