Lilly Announces Winter Food, Supply Drive to Assist Local Families

The drive will take place through Dec. 31.

State Rep. Camille Lilly, D-Chicago, is encouraging residents to participate in her Winter Food and Supply Drive this month to provide local families with the resources they need to stay warm and healthy during the colder months.

Lilly is partnering with the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry to deliver supplies and non-perishable food items to families in need.

There will be two locations for people to donate either food items or supplies through Dec. 31.

  • Constituent Service Office – 5755 W Division St., Chicago
  • Oak Park River forest Food Pantry – 848 Lake St., Oak Park

“December weather can be especially harsh for those who are struggling to make ends meet, and so it’s important that we work together to give something back to those who need it most,” Lilly said. “Food insecurity remains a problem, but with the help of residents’ donations and the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry we can all do our best to ensure those in need do not go hungry.”
