Movie Fundraiser in Oak Park to Benefit the Wieland Family

Oak Park, IL - The Oak Park Women’s Guild will host its 7th Annual Movie Fundraiser on Feb. 27 to benefit the Wieland family.

Doors open at 9 a.m. for “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” at Lake Theater, 1022 Lake Street in Oak Park, and the movie starts at 10 a.m., according to the guild.

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased in advance at the theater or the morning of the event. Raffle tickets for entertainment baskets will be available.

Lisa Weiland began cancer treatment last summer while she was five months pregnant with her third child, according to the Oak Park Women’s Guild. The nurse of 15 years gave birth to a healthy baby girl, but she had to stop working to continue treatment.

All of the proceeds from the movie fundraiser will be dedicated to the Wieland family to help with Lisa’s recovery. Donations to the Weiland family are also accepted online.
