1. An Oak Park man has been charged in connection with the overdose death of a woman in Clarendon Hills. Bishop Moore, 62, is charged with supplying the fentanyl which led to the death of 28-year-old Margaret McCabe. (Patch)

2. A village committee will consider “improving access to night permit parking” in certain parts of Oak Park. The Transportation Commission is expected to discuss parking permit restrictions at its Sept. 13 meeting. (VOP)
3. New smartphone rules were in place last week for more than 3,000 students who returned to Oak Park and River Forest High School. Students must now store their devices in a “phone home” during class. New student ID rules have also been implemented this year. (Paid source: Oak Leaves)
