1. Front porch package thefts continued last week in Oak Park, with at least three Oak Park police reports involving stolen items. Cosmetics, clothing, a scooter and more were stolen from residences between June 4-10. (Wednesday Journal)

2. A ruling on the Forest Park Tap Room liquor license was delayed again last week. A stenographer took issue with a newspaper reporter recording a June 8 hearing, though the Illinois Press Association said it is common practice for reporters and the village “had no grounds to end the meeting or to demand the reporter delete the recording.” (Forest Park Review)

3. Betty’s Pizza and Pasta opens today at 1003 South Blvd. The “highly anticipated” new restaurant from the owners of Kettlestrings will offer New York style pies. (Wednesday Journal)

4. The River Forest Park District will kick off its summer “Party in the Park” series tonight with food and music at Keystone Park. The FeelGood Party Band will perform at 6 p.m. (Park District)
