1. At least 47 people were shot in Chicago this weekend, including a 52-year-old woman who was killed Sunday afternoon in the 1200 block of North Long Avenue in North Austin. She was pronounced dead at West Suburban Medical Center. (CBS2)

2. Al’s Grill owner Bill Loutos is at odds with the village over the fenced-in patio outside the Madison Street restaurant. Village officials say the fence was built without a permit, and will have to come down Oct. 31 when the pandemic temporary outdoor dining permits expire for all eateries in Oak Park. 3. OPRF High School runner Josephine Welin was a top five finisher in the girls’ competition at the Palatine Invitational Cross Country Meet of Champions this weekend. More than 2,500 people were in attendance Saturday for the event at the Deer Grove East Forest Preserve. (Daily Herald)
