1. Sixty-one residents tested positive for COVID-19 in Oak Park this week, the health department reports. Cases range in ages from less than four years old to people in their 80s. (VOP)

2. Kribi Coffee will open a new location in Oak Park in mid-October. The Forest Park coffee shop is expected to move into the Boulevard Arcade building at 1033 South Blvd. “We were drawn to the Cross Function space because it allows us to open Kribi in Oak Park as soon as possible,” owner Jacques Shalo said. 3. Oak Park native Thomas A. Morrissey is one of 22 new associate judges on the Cook County Circuit Court. The Fenwick High School graduate will step down from his post as a Riverside Township trustee to assume the judge role next month. (Landmark)
4. Concordia University is expected to host a vaccine clinic today to make the COVID-19 shot more accessible to students and staff. Though the university has not shared how much of its student body is vaccinated, Dean of Students Kathy Gebhardt said clinic attendance has tapered off in recent weeks. All Illinois college students are required to be vaccinated by Sept. 19, according to state order. (Wednesday Journal)
5. River Forest is moving ahead with an automatic water meter project. New technology would allow public works employees to read meters remotely and provide more accurate water billing statements. (Wednesday Journal)
