1. An off-duty Chicago police officer was injured Saturday when a Metra train hit his unmarked police vehicle at a crossing in Elmwood Park. The officer is expected to be OK after the accident near 77th and Grand. (CBS2)

2. West Suburban Medical Center is hosting a “Think Pink” breast cancer screening event today in River Forest. The first 40 eligible women in attendance will receive a free 3D screening mammogram. (WSMC)

3. Another Illinois legislative map was released over the weekend, which “would create an opportunity for a second Latino district in Illinois,” according to the Tribune. 4. Oak Park School District 97’s “Share the Warmth” winter coat drive begins today and runs through Friday. Collection boxes will be placed outside of five elementary schools in the area. The Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest's Executive Director Frank Lipo is expected to speak tomorrow at Lewis University. “Unvarnished: Civil Rights in Our Backyards" will feature several panelists discussing “exclusionary practices and restrictive housing covenants."
